Georgie Boy Central Heating.

Postby madguy » Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:52 pm

Hi Guys.

Can anyone give me some advice please?

When i start the central heating on the georgie boy it starts up great and works well, however when i switch it off at the thermostat on the wall the heating/burner turns off but the fan keeps running.

I presume that it keeps running for a time to cool the heater or something however it was still running 45 minutes after i turned the heating off, as i had to leave i disconected the fan from outside as i didnt know how long it would run and if it would flatten the batteries.

Has anyone any experience with these please?

Cheers

You're right that the fan should keep running.... but only long enough to clear the system, a couple of minutes at most.

Have a look in our file system, I seem to recall a diagnostic manual being uploaded.
Regards Doug

I keep pressing escape but I'm still here

Hi Guys,

Hope you don't mind me bringing this up again but i really need help, as before my central heating works great when on, but when i turn it off the fan runs for ages, in some instances up to an hour.

I have opened the panel on the outside and searched but cannot find anyway of adjusting it, there is an on/off switch but this doesnt seem to do anything and now it runs so long it flattens my batteries.

I have resorted to opening the panel on the outside of the RV and disconectiont the fan to make it stop then reconecting it in the morning when its ok again.

Please has anyone any idea of how i can adjust or fix it????

Hi Madguy from reading the manual it appears the electronics board sets the delay period, so if its overrunning I guess you need a new board. Contact Duncan at http://www.starspangledspanner.com/ he not only sells them, but can confirm whether that's the fault.

mbristow normally you have a thermostat in the RV somewhere on the wall to start the heating. Its not possible to refill the onboard tank without driving the RV to a garage. You can buy an extender-stay or do what I do and fit a barbecue point and use it in reverse by connecting a Calor gas bottle to it.

Extender Stay: http://www.starspangledspanner.com/lpg/ ... d_391.html
