Red warning light"service engine soon"

Red warning light"service engine soon"

Our red light comes on when going up a hill and stays on until we stop. When we restart the red light is off until we encounter another hill.
We have just had a major engine service on the Chevy engine.
Any ideas please
Thank you. BBHOW.

Even so, something may be going on. Take it back to the service people and get them to read the codes and if all is well, switch the light off with their odb11 reader. Or, if you can, get a cheapy reader off of eBay and have a look yourself.

It may need the oil light reminder re setting to do this follow this.
Turn the ignition on and pump the throttle to the floor three times within ten seconds and turn the ignition of immediately.
Whilst doing this it should state resetting oil reminder in the speedo display.
Let us know if it works Colin

Thank you Colin for your advice.
I have just tried this and nothing came on!
We shall not be on the road again until January 2016.
