Hi, Thank you for visiting us at the American RV Club. This is the only open forum run by a non-profit making club specifically for American motorhomes.

Please take a couple of minutes to register and choose an ID. It is completely free to join and you'll then be able to access a treasure trove of help and advice.

The American RV Club is often described as the friendly club and that's the watch word on the forum as well. Come on in, you're a friend we're waiting to meet.

Regards The committee

Upgrading Website with Membership info

Postby doug » Mon Jan 30, 2012 6:52 pm

Over the next few nights I'm going to be installing all of the work I've been doing on the membership system. There may well be (hopefully) short periods where you won't be able to get onto the site or you may get an error message. Give it a little while and try again and it should be ok. If you're still getting problems then please do get in touch and let me know.

Once the new membership system is running you should be notified on the website when your membership is coming up for renewal. I want to make sure that element is working before we introduce online payments.

More info to come as I turn on the various features.

Keep your fingers crossed!
Regards Doug

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of merging the spreadsheet of members names and addresses with the user names on the forum. Could I ask you to PM or email me with your real names?

While this is going on you might get a notice advising you that your membership is due, or overdue, or about to be cancelled. Please don't worry! Just let me know and I can adjust the records. When we're getting close to finalising that I'll then be in a position to enable credit card payments through Paypal and automatic payments.

Thanks for your patience and forbearance.
Regards Doug

Well I'm making progress. Slow, but it's definitely progress!

My next task is to make sure all of the membership details are up to date. Could I ask you to PM or Email me with your real name and your online name? That way I can make sure everyone is set up properly.

Thanks everyone
Regards Doug

Hi Stevie
Sorry that you haven't had a reply to your question, but the quick answer is no, we don't have a chat room facility on the website, maybe Doug will look at it in the future though...:)

Hello

This question is probably in the wrong place but I cannot find anywhere else to ask it!

Simply, I would like to add a couple of photos to a new thread. How do I do this please?

Also, to change my user name (ia2391) to my name (Richard).

Thanks.

Richard

PS - in case I can't find the answer(s), email me direct if you will please, cheers
