Hi, Thank you for visiting us at the American RV Club. This is the only open forum run by a non-profit making club specifically for American motorhomes.

Please take a couple of minutes to register and choose an ID. It is completely free to join and you'll then be able to access a treasure trove of help and advice.

The American RV Club is often described as the friendly club and that's the watch word on the forum as well. Come on in, you're a friend we're waiting to meet.

Regards The committee

Finally Bought 1!!

If you're new to RVing this is the place to ask your questions. Don't worry, there's no such thing as a dumb question!

Finally Bought 1!!

Postby dwarfy » Thu May 21, 2015 9:18 pm

We registered to this site around 4 years ago when we first started looking at RV's to replace our old 5 berth Mercedes Autotrail. We looked at a few vans back then but a change of circumstance and a bit of ill health set us back a few years but we have finally put a deposit down on a C Class Itasca Spirit MY2000. I believe it is the 29N floorplan. Making beds up was always a pain in the Autotrail but this has fixed bed at the rear and fixed bed over the cab and was partly the reason for the choosing a C Class. We have 3 teenage sons and 2 bassets who I am sure will love the extra space! Cant wait to pick it up now but got a couple of weeks to wait due to work commitments. We will look forward to picking your brains over the coming months / years and hopefully get along to a meet at some point.
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Pleased that you have found a motorhome that you first looked for before you bought your Autotrail. I hope that you and your family (not
forgetting the doggies) will enjoy your travels in it.
If you are only a Forum member at the moment and would like to become a club member please email me on ' margaret@arvclub.co.uk' for
details of how to join and for more info on the club.
Regards
