Personally don't bother, and I don't know anybody that has a winch fitted to there RV, I have been RVing now for 8 years now and never had a problem but having said that I am very sensible where I park my RV and its 15 tonnes in weight.

If possible alway park on hard standing if I have to go on grass check how soft it is especially if it beening raining heavily the night before.

Lots of camp sites tend to have hard core under there grass so it's not so bad.
