Sharp Microwave R-1405

Postby Dreamchaserrv » Sun May 06, 2012 8:19 pm

The microwave in my Monaco Cayman has just given up the ghost so i need a replacement or repair. I need to replace with same model because of built in extracter fan. Anybody removed one they want to sell or does anybody have a new one in the UK.
Thanks Tom.

The microwave in our Cayman developed a problem where it would only work for 56 seconds. I found out that this was a known problem with the microwave and after a bit of searching I found;

Servicespeed
860 Plymouth Road, Slough Trading Estate
SL1 4LP, Slough
Tel.: 01753 696694
Fax: 01753 696970
E-Mail: NIGEL.DUNLEVY@BTCONNECT.COM

They repaired the microwave but I did have to take it to them and I think it cost about £70/80 to get it done.
They asked for £30 to examine/test it which was then taken off the total if you had the appliance repaired.

Regards

Our microwave just stopped one day, was about to take it out when I gave all the fuse switches another go. There was one that would not reset, I mentioned this to my other half who told me to push the switch down before pushing up :roll: Hey Presto :idea: it burst back to life :D If you haven't already, give it a try. I had a problem with ours; it was fixed by moving it from a 10A to a 20A breaker! sounds awful, but it worked.

Thanks to everybody for the posts. Took the RV in for a service at Daves motorhomes and he had one sat on the shelf he taken from another RV. Out came the screw driver and the problem was sorted. The bonus is this one is a convection oven. Result. :D :D
