Winnebago/Itasca Sunrise.

Postby simsy56 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 1:13 pm

I have decided to sell my lovely Winnebago/Itasca Sunrise.
It's 30 ft 10 in long, born in 2003 and delivered into this world by the main Winnebago dealer. The electrical conversion was done by the same company.
Powered by a 6.5 litre Chevy turbo diesel engine, it has LESS than 13,000 miles under its belt. It has all the usual fittings that American RVs have, plus self seeking satellite, sat nav, multi cd player, video/dvd player, remote controlled radio, motoraid, and safari room.
A single slide-out (kitchen/diner), gives this already roomy RV, a very comfortable space to live in, and ample room for the whole family. It will sleep 6 persons, and seat 9 comfortably for a chit-chat.
I am not giving up RVing, just changing direction. We have decided that a fifth wheel set up would be more beneficial to us at the present time.
If anyone would like some photos, or any more information, please send me a pm. Or if you have a 5er for sale or fancy an exchange, please get in touch.

Good luck with the sale Craig, Sounds like a nice unit you have there

I too went from A class to 5th wheel, the 5th is so much better suited for us what with two young kids, its nice to get on site unhook and have that 6 seater pick up to get about.

I guess its not so bad if you have a car on tow with an A class otherwise its a case of packing things away if you want to drive somewhere, ours was 40ft so although great for space it limited where you could go.

Are you getting a full weight trailer or one of them lites?

Hi Shane and Vanessa,

I do love the A class, it runs beautifully, a dream to drive, oodles of space when camped, but, with a son, his wife, daughter, her husband, and four grandchildren (one is disabled) it is like a full time hotel. A small tow car is not big enough to accommodate either family when they are "in residence". A much larger car is needed, hence the appeal of a 6 seat tow truck and nice trailer, also the cost of an A class and trailer on and off the Isle of Man, is not cheap. With a fiver i can store the trailer in the UK and just use the pick up on and off the ferry. I do not want a lightweight one though. I will get the proper thing. Any suggestions?
Do you prefer the 5er as opposed to the A class Shane?
